We are a lively Anglican church for the whole village of Overton.
The
church is made up of people at all stages on the faith journey and all ages
and backgrounds.
There are good facilities for children and young people to enjoy their own activities. We make good use of our modern Church Rooms with midweek groups running for children and the local community.
Our main Sunday service is at 10:30 am. Weekly home groups are the backbone of the church where people meet to encourage and support each other and grow in our faith in Jesus Christ.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for and contributed to the recent interviews for a new Rector/Priest in Charge. We are pleased to be able to tell you that Revd James Russell, currently Rector at Mundham North with Hunston and Merston and Rural Dean of Chichester, has been offered and has accepted the post in our parishes.
The Collation Service for James will be held on Monday July 1st at 7:30pm at St Mary’s Church, Overton.
Are you a lay person? Would you like some encouragement for your existing ministry, or for a developing vocational path? More interested in learning from passionate practitioners and others in ministry than in getting a formal qualification? Want help to see your ministry through a missional lens? Then Bishop’s Commission for Mission could be for you.
Thank you so much to those who have donated towards this fund and to those
who have signed up to give regularly. A regular flow of income into this fund will ensure the good
state of repair and appearance of the grade II listed building. If you haven’t
already signed up to give an amount regularly please contact David Rees at ochfpromoter@

by email
and he will give you a simple pack and a form to fill in.

Evening Praise is now simply called ‘HUNGRY’. It’s for those who are hungry for more of God in our lives, more of God in our worship. And it’s for those who are hungry to know more of God through teaching. The aim is informal but uplifting worship, teaching, prayer and praise.
